Usage is the token-equivalent cost of the last 30 days against the monthly seat price. A seat seen in the last 90 days stays in review, so a seat that went quiet is flagged idle. Seats first seen in the last 14 days are not flagged. Overlap compares coding assistants only (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Gemini CLI) and keeps the one each person uses most. A seat known only from a vendor seat list is judged on activity: it is idle when the vendor reports none in the last 30 days, or used on fewer days than the under-used threshold when the vendor reports daily use. Seats from a list not refreshed for 35 days are not flagged. A saving is recorded when someone marks a seat reclaimed, or when a seat list sync shows the vendor removed a seat TrAIce recommended reclaiming. TrAIce stops counting a seat if billable usage returns or the vendor still lists it a day after the reclaim.
